(111,222 posts)because the alternative, that they pay their own fair share, is unthinkable to them.
I hope there is a bloody revolution somewhere over this shit, there needs to be one to scare the rest of the world's rich into realizing they don't live in as much isolation as they think they do and that coughing it up is the best way to survive.
It is now inevitable that there will be one, somewhere, to remind them also of how horrible such things actually are for everyone.

Who gets hurt? Not Goldman which was the cause of the problem.
Maybe the best solution for Greece would be that in effect by Iceland. "We ain't gonna pay."
The beatings will continue until morale improves.

(8,053 posts)austerity will only end up killing their economy. It will set up a downward slope to death that once momentum is achieved, it will be hard to stop it.
