Plenty of praise has come to Harry Belafonte for all of his work in the struggle for justice-but I'd like to take this moment to say a few nice things about Tony Bennett.
Tony has always, been, to my mind, the AntiSinatra-more than matching Ol' Blue Eyes in vocal talent, but possessing all the humanity, idealism and common decency that the Chairman of the Board either never had or lost at some point along the way. One of the good people in life and culture, and someone that never totally gets all the credit he deserves.
