“And Rand Paul said that the Republican Party is to show up on the south side of Chicago and shout at the top of its lungs that the GOP is the ticket to the middle class,” Obama continued, calling that instinct “encouraging,” adding, “I want parties to compete everywhere, I think that’s a good thing.”

Noting that he was just “back home” in Chicago the day before, Obama said, “I guarantee you that Senator Paul would be welcome there.” He added, “We are a friendly bunch. I mean, it’s a little strange if people show up and just start shouting at the top of their lungs, but we’re friendly and it would be OK.”

No true believer in Ayn Rand's teachings would volunteer for public service. She preached that altruism, working for the benefit of other, is a sin. No real Ayn Rander would work for the public good. They would only work for their own private benefit. The whole idea of working for the government or writing laws others must follow is anti-Randian.

Humor, and irony is a sharped weapon when used properly - and President Obama is seen to master it perfectly - and is hitting his opponents brutal when needed... I wish he could have been doing that a lot more earlier one - when he was bussy being nice to everyone... Thankfully he is not in need of being nice to everyone anymore - and can use his wit, and his irony to great length....
