The mainstream media has largely ignored the Jeffrey Epstein / Alan Dershowitz child sex scandal, but that doesn’t make it any less important. Ring of Fire’s Mike Papantonio and Sam Seder discuss this.

6. The accusations are really serious. Almost unbelievable.

I'm not saying they aren't true, but this is very hard to believe. Dershowitz's role was as a lawyer I gather? This story is very confusing. Accusing someone of such serious sexual misconduct is very serious. I just don't know what to think. I tend to believe Dershowitz's denials of personal involvement in sexual activity. But for the rest of it, who knows what will come out of this. The accusations are so strange and so specific. Does anyone have a copy of the plea agreement that could be published on the internet?

to have plea agreement unsealed because they say they were never consulted in the matter.

with the pedophile, flew around in his private jet with girls and made several trips to his private island. The pedophile had 21 different contact numbers for Bill Clinton in his little black book. That part of the story is well documented.

The cushy jail term the pedophile received was a sweetheart deal specifically designed to protect everyone else involved from being named and implicated. The whole thing is ugly and sordid, and there is way more to the story than what we will ever know.

...possibly to gain control over powerful and/or influential people, or to target certain people for ruination.

Given Dershowitz's involvement with Epstein (getting him a hand-slap for multiple felonies), I'm wondering, first of all, if Mossad is involved, and/or--given the "honey trap" set for julian Assange in Sweden--if the CIA is involved. Of course, today, there are also many powerful private entities capable of spectacular dirty tricks. In any case, this thing smells so odd that you gotta figure something is behind it beyond enslaving children for sex. Why would anybody do anything so blatantly, obviously STUPID? For instance, involving so many people--pilots, other airplane personnel, procurers, 'nannies,' transporters, household servants, etc., plus so many potential perps, plus so many victims? The crime was ASKING for trouble! One answer is that they did it as part of a larger plan, knowing, ahead of time, that they (i.e., Epstein and whoever else was involved in the procurement of children) would have powerful protectors--which points to OTHERS, behind Epstein.

I think that the 0.01% sometimes do things just to assert their invulnerability--to stick our noses in it. Some among the 0.01% are brutal beasts. Cheney and Rumsfeld certainly fall into this group--though I think their torture dungeons had to do with money (for instance, to gain control of the communal Islamic money system) --and possibly also to find out who in the Islamic world might have the 9/11 goods on them. On the other hand, when you hear of some of these hapless, innocent, haphazardly-chosen torture victims, for instance at Guantanamo, it's hard to avoid the thought that Cheney and Rumsfeld simply got off on torture--did it for pleasure--and/or for its corrupting value (to create a class of corrupted military and paramilitary).

But I don't sense--on what little information we have--that Epstein was doing this just to assert his invulnerability as a beastially rich "lord of the earth." And I think that's where Dershowitz comes in. Epstein was guaranteed a well-connected defender/negotiator, should it come to that--a defender whose connections were themselves compromised in some way (bullied, blackmailed) so that they couldn't say no to the outrageous, unprecedented, secret plea deal.

The deal's inclusion of immunity for any and all who may have been involved--whoever they may be--also points to a larger game plan (than simple procurement for pleasure), and to Mossad, CIA and like entities--entities into dirty tricks for power. The extreme oddity of this provision really does point outward and upward.

That's my thought anyway: This wasn't just a rich bastard fulfilling fantasies for his rich bastard list in his "little black book." Dershowitz's on-going manic defense of Israel, no matter what Israel does or might do (they could nuke Planet Earth and Dershowitz would cheer--he is not just a liar; his views are insane)--makes me think that Israel's geo-politics are connected to this Epstein/Dershowitz scandal in some way, that it was intended to accomplish some geo-political end.

We don't have that end in view yet. It's all too murky. Who was the target (or targets)? (Maybe the real target or targets were not snared?) What was intended? What went wrong? Was it intended to go wrong, and why? Etc. But, despite the murk, I think the real purpose of the project will eventually emerge.

Given Dershowitz's...getting (Epstein) a hand-slap for multiple felonies...I'm wondering..if Mossad...and/or...the CIA is involved...

And those "others" may extend BEYOND Mossad and the CIA...

I just happened to have watched this last night -- AND laughed it off as what is referred to around here as "creative speculation..."

Why was Dershowitz allowed to remain involved in the case when he's one of the accused? And how can it be legally possible to give immunity to anyone who not only DIDN'T testify, but hasn't been indicted yet?
