I thought they did. I remember riding there one summer and everyone had to make sure they had helmets. I didn't make it all the way there though. 75 miles in a rainstorm that knocked down trees was enough for me. It's supposed to be fun. Not a death wish.

If I am going to take a dive on a bike, I would rather it kill me than permanently disabled me.

But it truly doesn't matter at the moment. Had to sell my bike in the winter because I needed the money. I don't see being able to afford another one any time soon. Well, ever from where I am now.

19. FWIW, both my friends are just fine.

One does have a mouthful of dental work, the other sometimes still gets headaches 4 years later, but I'm happy that they didn't become organ donors yet.

I know more than a few people that have been hurt on bikes. And I knew more than a few that were killed.

I get it. Just my choice. But as I said, probably won't have to worry about it again. I, more than likely, will be moving to California this year so I won't have a choice. They have a helmet law.

If I should buy a bike though, it will be a HD. Can't let Joni ruin the good name.

It was a bullshit story, if you have bags on your feet, it's INSIDE your boots to keep your socks dry. But she didn't have boots while she was out there castrating hogs, so I guess she did that barefoot.
