Ring of Fire: The Net Neutrality Battle Rages On

President Obama recently announced his support for net neutrality, saying that we shouldn’t throttle internet speeds based on how much a corporation is willing to pay. But ultimately, the decision lies with Tom Wheeler, the chairman of the FCC, and he seems more than willing to destroy the public’s main source of information.

Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins talks about net neutrality with Tim Karr, the Senior Director of Strategy for Free Press.

Obama did say that broadband should be placed under title 2 authority...which would place broadband, once again, under the category of utility.

Here is the video with Obama stating he wants title 2 reinstated (a little bit after the one minute mark).

Remember that Republican saying net neutrality was "Obamacare for the internet"? A load of conservatives gave hi shit about it on his webpage.

It angers me that the two "inters" -- the interstate and the internet -- were created and developed by the US taxpayers. Now we have corporatists who want to privatize them for their own profit!

Just leave what belongs to American people with the American people!
