is endemic in prisons around the world. Zimbardo's prison experiment highlighted the dynamics of placing humans in a prison and making other humans "guard" them.

The fact that the United States leads the world in terms of per capita incarceration rates should be the focus of nationwide protests, on the par with the protests we're seeing about militarized and murderous police.
