(7,300 posts)How dare these Senators call for imprisoning bank executives. I don't for a second believe Sen. Warren is so ignorant to not understand that these executive would gain nothing from prison and in fact would not fare well. Prison is for poor people and she knows it!

(5 posts)I however wonder, where is everyone at? There's what 16-18 chairs sitting empty in the committee. Th single biggest threat to our financial system in the county maybe the world in 80+ years and no one deems to show up to ask questions on what they found and the reasons they paid the fines?

(11,085 posts)They can afford to have lawyers object to every single word filed or spoken against them. And during the discovery phase, they will provide truckloads, maybe whole warehouses full of documents with which to hide the two pages of significance. And in the end, they will offer a settlement of millions and millions of dollars, which sounds like a lot of money until you do the math and calculate it is only 1/10 of 1% of the billions and billions they made off their crimes.
