Papantonio: The Militarization of the Police

The civil unrest in Ferguson, Missouri has been made much worse by the fact that the police officers were armed as heavily as the Army, and they had almost no training in how to handle any of that artillery. But that didn’t stop them from threatening non-violent protestors in the street.

Ring of Fire's Mike Papantonio and blogger Chauncey DeVega give us the latest on what’s happening in Ferguson.

I would have loved to have seen this response against the armed protesters at the Bundy ranch a few months back. They were threatening government agents and intimidating average citizens. A show of robo-cop response to those a...holes would have been very interesting. Are we saying our cops are impotent against any but peaceful, unarmed protestors? What wusses! This is more than a bit disturbing to any average citizen not wishing to be intimidated if expressing their rights--unarmed.
