Ring of Fire: Diagnosing Ann Coulter's Mental Illness

This past Thursday, everyone's favorite wing-nut appeared on Fox News' 'Hannity' to discuss America's immigration crisis. The words that came out of Ann Coulter's mouth, however, were even crazier than her usual drivel.

Ring of Fire's Farron Cousin discusses Ann Coulter's bizarre comments, and attempts to diagnose her chaotic brain.

Imagine if he had our military and war arsenal. We would be at war all over the world where there would be any Muslims in residence. Just hand me a scalpel so I can open my veins now if we ever get anyone in office again like that again. He is no different than our Dick Cheney, but more dangerous. What Dicky did was out of greed. This asshole does his murdering for ideology.

Also, I don't think she's mentally ill. She's a hater who hates anyone who is not like her. Unlike a sociopath, who has no empathy for anyone, she is sympathetic to her own kind but hates everyone else. To me that's worse than a mentally disturbed person, who at least has a cause for their craziness.

They can only be treated with long term re-programming. They aren't amenable to medication, generally.

It appears to me a number of Conservative talking heads have personality disorders, narcissism being a prominent thread.

but instead, simply be the product of a set of incentives that have rewarded her with fame and money for offensive behavior.

The only major right wing blowhard who ever makes me suspect genuine mental difficulty is Glenn Beck. The rest are doing what they're paid to do.

sounds exactly like my dad. and we have a paranoid skitzo line down his side.

which right now.. he basically assumes MY Chromecast is knocking him offline and I'm Doing it. Nevermind he asked for one a year ago and I got it for him for his Christmas present in December. Like I'd buy two for myself. Everytime the net goes down bang the worst scariest time of yelling you will ever here emits from the basement. I turn into tiny mouse and run.

It seems as if the people with mental illnesses are one of the last groups of people that are still on the "make fun of" list. If anyone here has someone in their family or knows of someone with a mental illness, they wouldn't think it was so funny. And I think that's probably just about everyone.

They just don't know what the hell they're doing if they are running around untreated. Coulter knows exactly what she's doing and the detrimental effect it has on political discourse in this country. She knows her job is to spread bullshit far and wide. She probably doesn't even believe in what she's saying, but I guess the money's good.

I have bipolar disorder that's been under control with treatment for the last 11 years. I know crazy or sane when I see it. Coulter is terribly cynical, but she's definitely sane.

She doesn't believe a thing that she says. She's a closet liberal who's decided to she wants a slice of the $ pie and has thus sold out. She's actually smart enough to recognize that if she says outrageous things people will believe and listen to her and even pay her to say it.

This would explain some of her robot like behavior. Anyway, just a hypothesis.
