(70,476 posts)The President is allowed to issue executive orders because he is
the legally elected Chief Executive Officer. I hope this gets kicked
out of court for being a frivolous lawsuit that should have no standing
in court.

Thank you SO much for doing absolutely nothing in your position aside from (a) get drunk, (b) lie to the press and public every day, (c) get drunk, (d) play golf on the best courses, (e) get drunk, and (f) bring legislation to the floor of the ... oops, oh, wait.

(9,107 posts)Their desire to block POTUS has provided the loophole to remove him from office. Hatred has done real damage. And they don't care about this country. Even though Executive Orders are allowed and are less frequently issued by Obama than GW Bush, their hatred could undo him. Any misstep could.

(18,619 posts)So was Boehner injured by these orders?
If not he has no case.
If he was, to what degree was he injured?
What amount of reparations would remedy the injury?
Kind of hard to answer these questions.

.... have any standing w/the court. President Obama is CEO of this country and
it is leagal for the President to issue an executive order so where is the harm?
I hope some judge drops the hammer on this suit.
BTW I heard Boner's laws suit was being run on the taxpayer's dime.

(2 posts)Welcome !!!! This could be of your interest . There is always something fascinating , about life .
Once upon a time , My cousin John lost his portfolio (suitcase) , containing his documents , cloths , laptop, ipad , and a cash sum of 1000USD, that was meant for his overdue House rent.
Yet ,fortunately for John , he had Me, I once worked at the National Security Database , and I could produce duplicates and replica of documents , thus ,I helped reproduce all of John's lost documents within the shortest time frame , and at the most affordable price ever.
So , if ever in life ,you found yourself in a situation similar to that of John, and you have lost all your documents OR you will need some new documents for whatever purpose , and you need the documents within the shortest time frame , then I will be here to help you . Whatever document it may be , and for whatever Country( Mostly European Countries, USA and Canada) .

(85 posts)Clearly, John OrangyTan Beaner's lawsuit is a prelude to impeachment proceedings if / when
the Senate falls under right wing control.
And where is Mitch McConebill when the his party needs him? Having failed to make Obama a 1 term
president (his earlier promise) can we expect Mitch to announce a new initiative?
That would be of course - to make Obama a 1 3/4 term president.
Fellow Democrats and Independents, let's not ignore the GOP's designs on the senate.
Clownish and irresponsible as they usually are, they are also deadly serious and capable of nasty deeds.

(16,230 posts)First, it's political. The base will cheer on Boenher and the Republican party for doing this.
Second it's obstructionism. They want to tie up as much of the executive branch's time and resources as they can.
When the courts throw it out, they'll start yelling about "judicial activism" which will stir up the base even more.
Meanwhile, our tax dollars and other resources are being wasted on political maneuvering.
