since they only showed 10m/s testing which is about 22mph (thank you google)
thats great small to medium scale, and the advantage is at 200w each you only need about 3 to power your average house. that's not a huge investment in land. and it's small footprint makes it relatively safe for animals too.

im reminded of this barrel wind turbine i saw designed in the east block that would be put up in urban area. VERY small foot print, about 1 cubic meter barrel and i think generated 100 watts of power. keep in mind that's a SMALL foot print were you can put up dozens on a large building. I think it's top speed was much higher than this one because it was more stable of a design.
sadly i havent seen anything on it in a while, so I dunno where it is in development now a days.

but the point it, small, affordable, powerful(ish) generators like these PROVE that a self-contained user-generated grid is not just possible but FAR more feasible than having power plants for the most part.

oh well, go coal... who wants to live past the year 2100 anyway?

They are currently testing the noise output.

I liked the bright cheerful colors.

I would like 2 of them and a roof full of solar panels.

I can dream.
