US Rep. To Deputy Director of Drug Policy: You're 'Part of the Problem'

ABC News · Published on Feb 4, 2014

Rep. Earl Blumenauer grows frustrated with witnesses' "inability to answer" direct questions about the real health risks of pot.

- So to recap, men and women and boys and girls are being imprisoned all over the United States because the Deputy Director of the DEA formulates and carries out drug enforcement policies based upon the ignorance and/or lack of understanding that some parents that he's talk to have, about why some states are now allowing for the medicinal use of marijuana by sick and dying people. It's like magnets. How do they work anyways!?!?!

Oh yeah, and the man is an fucking idiot.

The current regime does not work.

Instead of questioning their beliefs or assumptions that marijuana is the same as prescription drugs that kids OD on...he is falling into the same trap they are. He should not be doing this job.

...without marijuana on Schedule I his primary reason for existence at the DEA, will have become a moot point. This isn't about kid's ODing. It's not even about marijuana, per se.

It's about what legal marijuana will do to some rich people and all the money they will be losing from the diminishing sales of pharmaceuticals once marijuana use for so many ailments and diseases becomes the norm.

- It's about money -- like always.......
