invest a few petrodollars in his military band - it sounded like Jr. H.S. at Friday football nite.

I'd love to hear them warble "Guantanamera!" That is a great song that can be so easily ruined....

DU's rose-tinted glasses brigade will probably blame the incident on nefarious agents operating out of Langly or Miami.

If socialism is the future, like the rose-tinted glasses brigade seems to believe, it ought to be competent, well-run socialism, shouldn't it?

from the supermart, after waiting in line three hours for it...and the kid resents it.

Usually, these kinds of things are closer to home. No need for Langley, just some kid whose mom got hurt, or dad got shot by colectivos, or brother was murdered.

The people don't care at this point if VZ is run on the Miss Jean Magic Mirror Kindergarten system, so long as there's security, an end to shortages, a tamping down of the inflation, and an end to censorship. Oh, and they want to stop subsidizing Cuba when they are suffering. They don't like taking orders from Raul at all.

They have a national attitude these days. And all politics is local.
