A scene for scene comparison of Sarah Palin's actual media appearances and Julianne Moore's reenactments of them from the movie Game Change.

(62,683 posts)was just at the end of their rope because they couldn't get her to LEARN anything, they decided -- just have her memorize these replies to these questions she'll most likely be asked. And that's what they did. She was acting.

(9,141 posts)The real Palin almost word for word was best illuminated by Catie Couric and Tina Fey. I still almost barf recalling her wink at the camera during the vice-presidental debate...a debate.
My friend said it's what you get when you drive through a trailer park with a hundred dollar bill stuck out the window...only herre it was a lot more money as all she has done is profiteer from the experience since.
If Hillary hadn't been running, McCain never would have chosen Palin, for she had never done anything of note. Another FOX goober.

(122 posts)I could only get to 1:30 and I couldn't take it anymore. Not that Moore isn't an accomplished actor but I cannot stand the vapid, vacant, empty choice tha McCain so flippantly threw out there. Thanks John I will guess you kick yourself a little every day for that debacle.....

(24,721 posts)Steve Schmidt deserves credit for exposing Palin's unstable personality behind the scenes. She couldn't handle pressure, she knew less about the world than the average person, yet she was so head-strong & arrogant that the staffers couldn't teach her anything.

Comedic will always have the upper hand portraying banality and stupidity.
Julianne acted excellently.
Tiny acted to Palin's banal soul.

(23,531 posts)Tina truly helped Barack Obama get elected.

(5,610 posts)most of us believed. Julianne Morre was excellent and I was surprised how she was able to transform herself into Palin. The really scary part is that there are alot of ignorant Americans who worship that hate-mogering, empty headed, aged whore. Sorry, a lot of people will consider the "W" word inappropriate. I believe it is accurate and very relevant.

(8,053 posts)the fact that she would pop up and think she has grounds to challenge Obama to a debate illustrates that fact vividly.

(51,122 posts)She mimics her well, with her own spin, but you have to know banal to do banal.
Julianne is not banal.

(51,550 posts)Especially seeing the two side by side, Moore is SO much more human and likable. Palin comes off as a stream of consciousness, right wing automaton.

-Then it hits me; she's the one from American Beauty. She's only got the accent 99% right though. I don't think it would bug me watching the movie, but when you put her next to an actual soundbite of Sarah Palin, you can tell who's putting the accent on and who's the native speaker.

(13,704 posts)Sarah's presence is far reaching apparently. Moore did a great job except she just couldn't quite capture the Palin screech.
