The Daily Show Puts on Insane, Creepy, and AMAZING Dedication to Fox’s The Five

Excerpt below from the YouTube 'about' section...
Published on Jan 14, 2014

1/14/14 - Get ready for perhaps the weirdest segment ever performed on The Daily Show. Correspondent Samantha Bee put on a crazy one-woman show to prove to the world that Fox News' The Five is not just another cable news panel show; it's a story of love, romance, and betrayal to rival "the works of a Shakespeare, or a Nicholas Sparks."

Jon Stewart kicked off the segment by touting the political diversity on The Five, from "Wall Street conservative to 50 year old frat boy conservative to George W Bush conservative to conservative to Fox liberal." He then handed the reigns over to Bee, and that's when things got REAL.

She revealed that the story of The Five is the story of a romance between "winsome blonde ingenue" Dana Perino and resident "bad boy" Greg Gutfeld. And despite the meddling of fellow suitor Eric Bolling and "our story's villain" Bob Beckel, the love between Perino and Gutfeld will not be denied.

2. Marvelous performance by Samantha Bee

Not sure I've ever seen anything like it. Part mime, part modern dance, part drama -- and all comedy.

Can anybody point to predecessors to SB's performance?

Jules Feiffer's modern dancers doing "Ode to Spring" come to my mind.

5. I thought this was pretty funny...

it's hard for me to watch Fox for anything, but the portrait of Dana et. al. is actually brilliant. Samantha Bee doesn't get the recognition of others on the show, but she has that same sarcastic way of putting the idiocy of Fox out there. Now when I'm sitting in a lobby or somewhere that the Five in on, I can't wait until someone asks me "what's so funny?"

You don't see Fox and others going on the attack over these skits any more (they learned their lesson), but you know that Fox executives probably spent many hours watching it.
