that there are (at least) 2 sets of laws (Holder confirms this daily), 1 for the lower (approximately) 70%, and the laws for the upper echelons.

and force them to go out and find honest work instead of trying to profit off the old, the sick, the weak, the desperate, and the scared. Something like a national single payer system that eliminates their business model altogether and replaces it with a government run non-profit system.

Certainly their compulsion for underhanded tactics and repeated violations of ethical practices warrant the public be given the option of never having to place their trust in them.

They with held some very important information from one of my father's friends ( he hasn't been able to get insurance because of the price and a pre-existing condition) but with the ACA he was able to afford it with the help of subsidies. The first person he spoke to straight up lied about the answer, then we he called again later he spoke to another person and found out the first guy was lying. It's absolutely sickening that these companies have people that lie about aspects of the law, especially if a person is desperate for insurance like my dad's friend!

As one of many that was dismayed to see health care "reform" bill allowing Big Insurance companies to remain institutionalized in our Health Care system.. and now only to see their betrayal on what they pushed for in the first place...

Maybe it's a good moment to establish the only viable alternative with a Universal Health Care System, aka Single Payer or Medical for All.. A win-win for all of our citizens. Dump the predatory sharks once and for all.

thing is, now that Obamacare is "kicking in", I have heard rethuglican, neo-con "representatives on tee vee support these very ideas. Of course, during "the battle" for health care (insurance) reform, they would not even acknowledge single Payer or even allow "it" a place at the table.

Strangely, this was perfectly fine with "our" democratic "representatives."

IT IS ALL KABUKI THEATER to keep us focused on anything but our masters.

a lower case "d" instead of a capital one.

It seems that what was once our Democratic party has merged with the republican party. We now have ONE corporate party.

I plan to support proven Progressives. Progressives seem to be our only hope. The existing two main political parties are worthless unless you are wealthy.

To see a politician (there are others, most are not as consistent or have such a long track record) reminiscent of the previous Democratic party, watch Senator Bernie Sanders) He is a Democratic Socialist which seems to be our only hope. capitalism has destroyed America and Democracy.

State insurance commissions that are intended to regulate insurance are instead a haven for insurance companies so no wonder there are few regulations. Insurance companies do not want federal regulators where they cannot completely control the regulators like they can by stacking the State insurance commissions so it is no accident that Insurance companies are cancelling policies left and right in order to stymie changes through this PR campaign. Follow the money, always.

She's 78, so on medicare, but according to her supplemental insurer, her policy was cancelled in Oct 2012. Of course, she wasn't notified until last month, and they're still taking her payments, just not paying her claims. What a flustercluck!
