32. Well I'll go with that. But then again what people do in their private lives is not
|
my business. Maybe she knew what he was up to. I don't excuse it. But really it is a private matter.

33. I mean, I agree that it is a private matter
|
but his disloyalty and unfaithfulness to his partner says something about the type of man he is. Call me old fashioned.
IMO, to be manly isn't to sleep around with all the women one can; it's about loyalty and faithfulness to family. Obama, in my opinion, embodies that (just another reason that I respect the guy immensely). |

34. I totally agree with your point of view. I would never thinking of doing something like
|
that to my husband. It is the worst thing you can do. But saying that I don't like bringing people laundry out in public like that because it really isn't our business but used to make political points. It also goes for some women.

I loved this from boston.com http://www.thebostonchannel.com/r/30512290/detail.html
While Obama's voice may have lacked the power of the other performers, it was a presidential musical performance unseen since Bill Clinton on the saxophone.
Indeed |

compare that to Mitt Romney's forced uncomfortable singing of america the beautiful. who let the dogs out etc.

13. Check out this article excerpt ...
|
<SNIP>
With that, the ensemble wrapped up the evening with "Sweet Home Chicago." And then Jagger handed off the mic to Obama for his presidential coda. In advance of the concert, Grammy-winner Keb Mo had joked during a rehearsal break that Obama himself would perform, and there could even be a record in the works. He joked that Obama's record would be called, "After the second term, now I can finally get my groove on." Maybe he wasn't joking after all. <SNIP> http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/02/21/obama-sings-sweet-home-chicago_n_1292576.html |

14. Lawrence O'Donnell played a snippet of Pres Obama singing tonight
|
I'm sure the new singing clip will be on all the cable shows tomorrow p.s. Rick Santorum called President Obama a 'rock star' Tuesday evening - here: http://www.democraticunderground.com/101457723 I believe that was 'BEFORE' Obama sang at the the WH concert. The GOP is going to be doing a bunch of Obama bashing on Wednesday I betcha due to The President singing again |

25. Their strategy has always been to go after their opponents' greatest strengths,
|
especially if their own candidates lack those strengths. Since Romney--their presumed nominee--lacks charisma and presence and is not that great of a speaker, then they go after Obama: he uses a teleprompter and is a "rock star."
They project well. It was Palin who was really the rock star and couldn't speak well. It was McCain who was the flip flopper. And so on... |

That was even better than finding out Al Gore is a Zappa fan back at the 1985 PMRC hearings. (Tipper even ended up playing drums on something by Dweezil)
There was more humanity in this moment for Obama than Romney has managed to display his whole life! Now there's the cool kick ass prez we elected and love! PS- Michael Moore was on Rachel last night talking about Michigan and George Romney - who seems like a much more appealing, reasonable, courageous and compassionate person than his empty suited son. Hitler loved his dog more than Mitt loved his! -90% jimmy |

22. No one knows what the heck the California/Chicago pairing meant
|
It could be just two ideal destinations from the Great Migration; it could be Port Chicago, California. It could be California Avenue in Chicago, which runs the entire length of the city, from south to north.
Nonetheless, in most versions of the song over the years, it has become an homage to the city of Chicago, and the California lyric has been dropped. So there's nothing to be "mistaken" about. |
