Richard Wolff: A Cure for Capitalism

Published on Mar 14, 2013

After five years of deepening crisis, failed "solutions," and aborted "recoveries," millions see a capitalist system no longer serving most Americans. It's time to demand a cure big and bold enough to work. Richard Wolff spoke on to hear that cure presented, explained, and justified. Instead of resignation to economic decline, come and help build real and positive change.

...before. It just sucked us in and blew us away. Thank you for posting this. We'll spread it.

Democratize workplace decision making and how it HAS been done already. What a brilliant idea. Thanks again.

This guy tells it like it is. Interesting idea. Don't know how individuals could compete money-wise with the mega-corporations, but it certainly sounds worth trying.

Now I will share with everyone I know....hopefully some will listen.

Thanks so much for posting this video. I started listening to some
shorter videos of Richard Wolff on youtube a month ago and none
of them told me how he saw his vision coming to fruition. This one
does just that.

His message maybe dead-on but his delivery makes me want to slap him and say "Quit talking in that condenscending voice! I am an adult and not stupid!".

but to the vast, VAST Majority of Americans, yeah, idiotic children are exactly what he's talking to.

MARCORA Law. that GENIUS. How many people whoul have taken that deal in a HEARTBEAT in order to not have to work for someone ELSE? not have to worry about FINDING a job, instead, you try and go out and MAKE one? Sounds like the definition of "bootstrapping" to me, right?

Something tells me the GOP would hate it with the heat of a Thousand Suns. I say we start using their own knives AGAINST them.

(on edit) Holy God, even if all you did was get 10 kids who HAD been working say mininum wage jobs, and got them to decide to take the cash and go to college for 2 years, THAT would stimulate the economy, too (there would be 36 month lag maybe...)

The usefulness of such a law is seems nearly INCALCULABLE.

(on Edit again) This co-op system could be a solution to the banking problem that is NOT national-ization. Think about this: what if a "bank" were driven NOT by profit as the bottom line, but how many paid-back-in full LOANS were completed annually...you would have a system where the paramount endevor was helping people do USEFUL and PRODUCTIVE things with the incomes they earn, (like say, paying off a house 10 years early) rather than loading up your "customers" with debts they can NEVER repay...

Good God, this kind of thining is paradigm-shifting. We had all better all stop right this nonsense right now, and go remember our place beneath the boots of our "betters".
