1. I wish the ballet would sponsor a night or afternoon for student rates, and allow those on

food share to get in free... This is beautiful...

4. Beautiful and inspiring,

My youngest niece started ballet at that age. She went on to study movement and ballet as therapy. She teaches dance and gymnastics at the YMCA, along with being a co-owner and worker at a food co-op.Our youth inspires us!

I agree midnight, I wish the ticket were far more affordable!

12. I'm sure the YMCA makes these experiences more reasonable than a private dance studio...

I love this idea of ballet as therapy.... And I love the idea that our youth are getting this positive media attention..

10. How beautiful she is. I love the pictures. We need to expose young people this

type of music and dance. I remember when I was in 5th grade we went on a couple of school outings to hear symphony music. I remember them playing the music of The Peter and the Wolf song. I remember it being narrated and listening to the different instruments being play and a person telling us the story. What an impression it left on me. I knew I would never had the exposure to such beautiful music without sitting in an audience. So I made it a point to go to see the Nutcracker Ballet.

17. Oh I did very much. Did you by any chance watch the Colbert show last night? They

had this young man on from Memphis that was using a hall that the ballet company was using. He was dancing and he was spinning on his toes and the ballet dance company asked him to dance with them. OMG he did some kind of a dance mixed with ballet and it was awsome. I missed the beginning. I don't know what the dance was called but it was kind of a mix of ballet and hip hop (I think) kind of steps. I'm sure you can find it on Colbert show website. Take a look at it.

18. I will see if I can find it

when I get home from work. It sounds a lot like this movie,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billy_Elliot_the_Musical

have you seen it? I caught the movie on netflix. I was lucky to be able to see it on stage last year. Fabulous!
Thanks for the tip, SYB!

20. I went onto the ComedyCentral.com website. click on shows and you will

see the Colbert Report and of course click on that. On the right you will see three little boxes. Click the third one. He is talking to the young man know as Little Buck and you will see what he is all about. I'm telling you this kids can move and it looks so different from what we are use to seeing. Evidently he is on youtube also.

11. I just purchased;

The print of her next to a single male who looks totally lost and despondent.

I purchased the 6"x9" and with shipping was about $10.

Come on DU'ers, this is just a few dollars more than a Starbucks' latte (or whatever the caffeine of choice there is now).
