Idiot watch: Roger Hedgecock blames high school food fight on Obama

San Diego's ex-mayor Roger Hedgecock claims that a high school food fight in Minneapolis proves that "race relations have gone way downhill since Barack Obama became president."

Two weeks after gaining notoriety for charging that "hatred of white people has now become an epidemic" and "racial tensions...are at an all-time high in my lifetime" because of President Obama, the right wing talk show host Hedgecock returned to the theme on Feb. 15 on station KFMB in San Diego.

"Turns out this just wasn't any food fight," Hedgecock said. "What it really was about was a riot between Muslims students and the black students... Whites weren't even involved. They weren't even invited to this riot."

The Muslims students allegedly involved are from Somalia. Hedgecock apparently does not realize that the Somalis are also "black people" like the African Americans.

Hedgecock said this incident is just one of many, "with an example every day, like the one from Minneapolis that I just cited, that race relations have gone way downhill, way downhill, since Barack Obama became president..."

"You can't go through a day of news without seeing something, again, that 15 or 20 years ago, you could not have seen."

Hedgecock went on to expound on his belief mentioned on Feb. 4 that President Obama intentionally worsens "racial tensions" which "are at an all-time high in my lifetime."

"With his background with the Ayers people, with the Rules for Radicals...It's been drilled into him," Hedgecock said of Obama, "that dividing people is a source of power."

3. Isn't it amazing any

Stupid Moron can get microphone time? Back in the old days, a Radio talk show host had to have some intelligence. They have certainly lowered the standards for those who get paid to talk on the Radio.

one guy Jeff Crouere - WGSO | AM RADIO 990

He seems like he's trying to channel Limbaugh and Beck....his callers spout every conspirracy theory, every racist thing you can imagine...there are no standards anymore.

10. what i find amazing is that this IDIOT was convicted on several felonies..

sure, they were reduced to misdemeanors, but the fact that this fugging moron is given any credence, let alone a medium to showcase his idiocy, is baffling to say the least.

12. I believe there was a time

That a radio announcer was required to have a FCC 1st or 3rd class license to even speak over the public air waves. Ronald Reagan deregulated that, and now anyone can speak so long as there is someone near by who can read the meters, and check the Transmitter on occasion.

4. Maybe I'm woefully misinformed

I've noticed a decided uptick in racial relations in my area. But I'm not a radio talk show host like hedgehog, er, cock; Roger Hedgecock.

9. Limbaugh is a political asset.

We have branded him as the face of the GOP. The DSCC, DCCC, and the DNC raised **** load of money off the Sandra Fluke thing.

Every time he comes out with one of his bigoted statements its a fundraising goldmine.

13. That's true now

but he's also what he has been for two decades, the voice of right wing propaganda that lulls gullible people into a worldview of hate. I know this from my own experience and many stories I've heard--he has made it "okay" for being to indulge in racist reactions and violent responses. Even now, in his weakened state and as a fundraising asset for progressives, he's a big negative influence on our body politic.

16. It is the example of the GOP pitting American against Obama that the students see as being acceptable

in our society.

President is blamed for everything. So students play the blame game instead of talking out the facts in a clam manner. They hear nuts like Alex Jones scramming and having a fit in open society over the 2nd amendment that instead of a well regulated militia, people should just be allowed to go crazy with their mouth or a gun as a part of their rights.

Apparently, Hedgecook needs to listen to the Left and regulate himself.
