1. Hell, original sin itself is abusive.

Some preacher telling you you're a worthless POS who is doomed from birth due to a couple of fruit munching idiots in a fairy tale, that's emotional abuse.

And yet it's socially accepted as a proper way to raise children. By scaring them to death with fear of an imaginary cruel god.

6. Fundamentalists do. They are full of negativity.

If the kids have any sense, they will leave when they grow up, because the parents have nothing to offer but negativity. These are the kind of people that insist you have to break a child's will, because a wilful, independent child is sinful.

At least, the ones I've met.

Read Alice Miller and John Bradshaw, Ph.D., for more information.

As I stated, this is ecumenical and includes religions that ritually abuse human beings regardless of age.

7. Obviously clergy abuse wreaks havoc with your emotional and mental health. Good luck avoiding other

abuse from the priests and priestesses of "therapy".

8. Kick and another call for input by DUers-Therapists are often contracted out by agencies like

Catholic Social Services, Lutheran Social Services, Jewish Social Services etc some of which also include abusers and their "support" network.

14. one month later-ditto. Btw, lots of clergy are involved in politics, and Armchair Subversive has

kept monitoring the Republican Party in particular.
