Nance Greggs: 50 Shades of Nay

Having listened to the whinging of you Republicans who still don’t understand how you lost the election, I thought it might be helpful if I spelled it out for you. As always, please seek assistance if you don’t understand the big words.

Since Obama’s first inauguration in January 2009, you have (1) been almost solely focused on ways to ensure he was a one-term president, (2) obstructed every initiative made towards things like job creation and healthcare reform, and (3) sought ways to embarrass, humiliate, and disrespect the President of the United States.

You have (4) proclaimed your allegiance to people like Grover Norquist, while (5) completely ignoring the best interests of the people who elected you to represent them.

You have consistently (6) lied to your constituents, and the citizenry as a whole, often fabricating “facts” and statistics that have no basis in reality in an effort to mislead and misinform...

2. Great stuff but admit it.....

You were just getting warmed up. If the book had been "100 shades of Gray" it wouldn't have been a problem.

Here is a tougher topic... How does this gang of goofy greedheads, lousy liars, hateful hypocrits, and blatant bigots still get some candidates elected?

4. Interesting post. I also found the picture of the girl and the machine gun quite interesting. ...

Veronica Foster, an employee of John Inglis Co. Ltd. and known as "Ronnie, the Bren Gun Girl" posing with a finished Bren gun in the John Inglis Co. Ltd. Bren gun plant, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

This photo is an excellent example of official government coverage of workers at home during the Second World War. First produced in 1937, the Bren Gun became of the most widely used machine guns of its kind and was a staple for line troops during the Second World War
Veronica Foster is depicted here as in other photos posing in a provocative manner, caressing the Bren gun while exhaling cigarette smoke.

But on the contents of the OP:

I was amazed that Republican voters had such a poor group of candidates in the primaries to pick from. I suspect that the best and the brightest Republican politicians decided to avoid campaigning against Obama this year.

The sad truth is that Romney was probably the only candidate in the primary that had any chance of winning against Obama and he was deeply flawed. To paraphrase Winston Churchill, Romney is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma. He has been on every side of every important issue at one time or another in his political career.

I could never figure out why Romney would not release his tax records. He surely had to realize that this issue would come up in the election as it did in the primary. If he had nothing to hide he should have released the records and if he did have something to hide, he should have done the Republicans a favor and never ran for the presidency.

The Republicans have a hard time ahead if they don't get rid of the old white guys who run their party and find a young intelligent candidate with charisma who is not filthy rich. As the OP points out, the Republican Party has a long list of political positions to reconsider. They have to overcome the common view that they are just the party of "No." Even four years from now Republicans will still face overcoming the legacy of Bush the Younger.

7. For some reason the title of the OP's take on Republicans remind me of the "Knights who say Ni!"

and this is the shrubbery they want.

Thanks for the thread, DemocratsForProgress.
