"Obama’s reelection will usher in the passive-aggressive presidency"

Over at Faux Snooze, they're predicting an Obama victory, and criticizing his second term before it even starts.

It's not exactly a "good read"—I lost interest after a few paragraphs—but it's revealing. They are already admitting defeat!!!!

12. Maybe the prez could kick the passive-aggressive label

by putting Yoo in cuffs and sending him to Gitmo for 6 months in a cage.

4. I could feel the change in bars & restaurants this week

I wondered what was happening,
the body language, eye contact, expressions of the waitresses and bartenders.

You can feel the state change,
if you sat quietly and watched.

Especially in younger people, i.e under thirty.

I suddenly realized tonight that it's the election.
An unusual spate of optimism and animation, and engagement.

7. What a jackass

If the state will provide every citizen with health care, why not every other supposed necessity of life?

Calls healthcare a supposed necessit of life? Ah, the mind of a war criminal.

8. What twisted logic.

"Progressivism suffers from two problems. First, it has no logical stopping point. If the state will provide every citizen with health care, why not every other supposed necessity of life?

Progressivism contains no self-limiting principles to stop the government at providing health care, food, shelter, heat, and clothes for all – jobs and college education could just as easily be next."

The same thing can be said for your-on-your-own-conservatism. Where does NOT helping your fellow man end? When everyone but a handful of greedy rich men live in hovels and mud huts? When does turning your back on the suffering of others stop? When everyone but you is starving? Will you throw sick newborn babies out of hospitals to die because their parents can't pay the bill? Will you cut off the elderly Social Security so they can die, like they did in the 1920s, from starvation and hypothermia? Their cruelty and inhumanity seems to have no end.

And they talk about "the state" as if it's some disconnected entity that survives all on it's own. We pay taxes, we vote them in, we allow "the state" to exist. Without us there would be no "state". If we decide yes we want our taxes to pay for health care INSTEAD of bombs then that is what it should do. If we decided we want our taxes to cover health care, food, shelter, clothes, jobs and a college education then so it should. We make "the state", we control "the state", we pay for "the state's" very survival; we should and can decide what "the state" should provide.
