Conservatives suggest Obama campaign manipulated jobs report to help re-election
Following the release of promising economic news, conservatives have already started the conspiracy theories.
The first Friday of every month (mostly) brings with it the jobs report from the previous month. Following a lackluster debate performance, President Obama and his campaign were crossing their fingers for a positive report - they got one. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the economy added 114,000 news jobs and saw the unemployment rate drop to 7.8%, the lowest rate since January of 2009 when President Obama came into office. With the talking point of "40 straight months of unemployment over 8 percent" now gone, Republicans and conservatives across the country needed to put together a new narrative.
The first new wave of conservative rhetoric came from former CEO of GE, Jack Welch. Taking to his Twitter account, Welch hinted at an Obama conspiracy of playing with the numbers.
@jack_welch - Unbelievable jobs numbers..these Chicago guys will do anything..can't debate so change numbers
Buzz Feed also shows other conservatives following Welch's lead with their own claims.
@ljwilson13 -Horrible debate for Obama; the most manipulative and politically sensitive economic figure (unemployment rate) declines below 8% #conspiracy
@bignels2 - This just proves what a criminal Obama is. He has lied & forced his labor dept to report 7.8% Unemployment with only 114,000 jobs created

2. They were manipulated.
By doing a good job!
That's what happens when you care about the country, you do your best to improve it for the people who live here.
Tadah! The numbers go down.
Repukes on the other hand, manipulate the reports by doing a shitty job and only thinking of themselves.
Tadah! The numbers go up.
