"Harsh realities for Democrats"?

Or maybe harsh realities for CNN's David Gergen. What planet is this guy on?

"Still, Thursday night and Friday morning brought some harsh realities to Charlotte. Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan have a serious chance to win this. Underlying economic conditions are working in their favor and with the new jobs report, it is easier to make the election a referendum on the past few years. And they have tons of cash to pour into the fall."

3. David Gergen is erratic

After the first night of the convention, after Michelle's speech, he said, "If the Democrats have two nights like this ... they may just break this thing open " or something similar. Now there are 'harsh realities'. Let's be honest, if this election was solely about the economy, and unemployment rate, Obama would be down and out...but it isn't.

4. translation: Putting GOP spin on our horrendous RNC

it's all about the economy and the economy is Obama's fault, even though we killed 1 million jobs. Never mind the incredible DNC or the bounce or the polls. /s

5. Remember, Gergen made his reputation...

...as editor of U. S. Skews & World Distort, the original Republican Noise Machine.

6. Gergen (and all the CNN mouthpieces)

are corporate shills! They only say what they're told to say - so easy - no thinking required! I NEVER watch CNN - I used to (back during the FIRST Gulf War) but not after they turned to the right!

8. When Turner had it, CNN was THE news. Now, all shills. Corporatist News Network 24/7.

9. Nobody believes Romney and Ryan have a serious chance of

winning? I think they have a very serious chance of winning. With all the voter suppression and the huge advantage in media influence and money of course they do.

10. To skew or not to skew?

This isn't the first time I've seen David Gergen do this. He's a Republican all the way. Unfortunately, he is correct - this race is very close - too close for comfort - and well within reach of Diebold, massive advertising, and whatever 'October surprise' is being dreamed up.
