Madeline Bernstein, SCPA-L.A. President, on Chris Brown's decision to sell pit bull puppies online

Chris Brown Breeding and Selling Pit Bull Puppies for $1000 Online

Would you buy a used car from Chris Brown? Let alone a pit bull puppy.

Chris Brown is breeding and selling 2 month old pit bull puppies for a $1000 each.

Why does a rock star and known domestic violence abuser choose to breed dogs, and why, specifically pit bulls? What does Brown know about the genetics of responsible breeding? Will the dogs be fixed? How will they determine what is a good home? Who would pay that price? Do pit bulls enhance his "bad boy" image?

Animal shelters across the country are brimming with unwanted pit bull dogs. Adopters shun them because they fear that the dogs have violent dispositions as they are associated with dog fighting, gang violence and other crimes. Home insurance companies won't insure homeowners with pit bulls as pet. The breed is completely banned in some cities altogether and some animal shelters won't adopt them out as a matter of policy.

Should he be living on the street? It seems some will not be satisfied until that happens.

He may be an asshole who did an asshole thing or two but damn I don't think he has kept on doing it has he?

The real answer to all those questions is he won't be doing shit except for collecting a fee for the use of his name. These celebrities don't actually do the things that have their name on it ya know.

There's no reason for him to do this.

Pit bulls are available, in plentiful supply.

My personal attitude is "FUCK Chris Brown." He turned his girlfriend's face into hamburger, and has shown violent / homophobic behavior WELL past his "anger management / community service."

He's a fucking asshole.

You approve of this shit? They might be able to breed dogs in their backyards and sell them to any small-dick loser who thinks a pit bull makes them cool, but that certainly doesn't make it right. I'm all for banning backyard breeders, all of them. PERIOD.

What an ass! He loves all this, it ups his cred. I only feel bad for the puppies, because only a scumbag would buy a dog from the Chris Brown puppy mill
