The Family Leader CEO Bob Vander Plaats said that while his organization would not endorse a candidate at this time, he could personally Santorum because the former Pennsylvania senator was the “champion for the family” who is the best position to beat President Barack Obama.

Earlier this year, Santorum, Rick Perry and Michele Bachmann all signed The Family Leader’s pledge, agreeing to opposes same sex marriage, oppose Sharia law and ban “all forms of pornography.”

Chuck Hurley, head of The Family Leader’s Iowa Family Policy Center, who also endorsed Santorum Tuesday, said that his group had gotten death threats from supporters of other GOP candidates.

“I do regret that one erstwhile friend and culture warrior has threatened to — quote — ‘burn Bob’s body, drag it through the street and hang it from a bridge’ — unquote — if Bob doesn’t endorse who that person wants him to endorse,” Hurley explained, refusing to name the supporter or their preferred candidate. 2. A right wing pastor in Sioux City endorsed Santorium last week .

He endorsed Rick because his followers would not vote for a woman. These people are anti- woman too. One pastor did say Bachmann was "biblically qualified" to be president, so not all of them are opposed to a crazy female in the White House. I will be so glad when the caucuses are over.

3. I guess these morons don't understand how our government works...

Yes, a president can oppose Sharia law (i.e. threaten to veto any legislation that would contain any elements of Sharia law) and gay marriage. The noise about Sharia law is ridiculous - there is no Muslim speaking or advocating openly for adoption of Sharia law.

And with respect to banning pornography, that is not something the President or Congress can do without a constitutional amendment. The Court has ruled on pornography and indecency and the current face of pornography is constitutional.
