Unfit for the chair: Democrats should pick someone other than Rep. Keith Ellison to lead the DNC
From vehemently anti-Trump and pro-Hillary New York Daily News:He is a serving congressman who would be distracted if not conflicted by the task of balancing both official and political roles a challenge highlighted by Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultzs disastrous time as Democrat-in-charge.
A staunch supporter of Bernie Sanders, he represents the left-most fringes of a party that should continue to vie for the vital center, to the extent that one still exists in American politics.
And he has repeatedly pulled the Democratic Party further away from its staunch support of Israel, Americas closest Mideast ally.

We need a full time person and I do not want anyone associated with Sanders to be DNC chair. I agree with the ADL on Ellison having some issues that will be exploited

we need someone without distracting baggage.

(10,114 posts)8. He has a decent organizing background
He worked with Bush, and for Obama first term on facilitating green jobs, but I think he might have what some would consider baggage
I suggest him purely because of his legal background, solid understanding of politics and his passion for being a Democrat.

as DNC chair.

the rule about not serving in Congress didn't apply.
