All the “controversy” surrounding Clint Eastwood’s latest dose of propaganda -- American Sniper -- appears to ignore how predictable it all is.

The United States of Corporate Power spends more money on war that all other nations combined and is the planet’s #1 arms dealer. Why is anyone surprised that films about snipers are made, lauded, and well-received?

Of course Clint made American Sniper and of course it’s a box office smash and no, I won’t waste my time and money seeing it. I will, however, once again break down America’s sniper/military fetish.
