Rescue crews spend much of the evening pulling people from their homes. The damage is hard to believe, but even more unbelievable is that no one was seriously injured in the storm. The Fremont County Sheriff said about 100 people have been displaced after an apparent tornado ripped through the town. Fremont County Emergency Management Director Mike Crecelius told The Associated Press on Saturday that about 75 percent of the town of Thurman was destroyed. He said there were no injuries and no deaths in the town of about 250 people. Crecelius said the town was on lockdown Saturday night and wasn't letting anyone in. He said town officials and residents expect to start cleaning up on Sunday. 3. Tornados were an annual event in the Midwest way back when. They are not new.
