CHP officers in the San Diego area were surrounding a vehicle Thursday morning that was wanted in connection with an Amber alert issued over four missing Montebello children.
Police had been desperately searching for the father and his four boys Thursday, one day after a woman’s body turned up in the trunk of the family’s car.
The grim discovery Wednesday evening prompted authorities to issue an Amber Alert for the four boys, who were reported missing earlier in the day along with their parents.
Shortly before 9 a.m., El Cajon police officers located the vehicle matching the car’s vehicle and license plate and initiated a pursuit, which CHP eventually took over, authorities said.
