19. In fairness, the lead Sanford police detective tried to.
|
He wanted to charge GZ, at least, for manslaughter. However, he was overruled by the State Attorney's Office.
Even after the case mushroomed nationally, had the new prosecutor quickly arrested and charged the killer, things would have calmed down. Now, both sides are dug in. The fact that GZ has not been arrested or charged has given his supporters the leeway to proclaim that he's innocent. Of course, rational people know differently, but just check out some of the mainstream media message boards. GZ is getting plenty of love there. I just want to see the autopsy report, and am shocked that it hasn't been leaked yet. |

62. From what I've read about Florida law here on the internet, I wouldn't expect to see the autopsy
|
until Z was charged or indicted. Under Florida law as I understand it, the prosecutor puts into the public record any information that it provides to the defense. It gives that info to the defense when charges are filed by the prosecutor or when the grand jury indicts someone.
There have been many leaks in this case, some of them of very dubious origin. It appears that the medical examiner has maintained much better information security than others. Don't be shocked if information does not leak--that generally reflects a well-run organization. |

60. You're taught in law school that all clients, including those accused of murder,
|
deserve the best defense that his or her lawyers can mount.
It isn't easy for an attorney to remove him or herself from representing someone with whom the lawyer has a representation agreement. The agreement is often verbal for a bit and then reduced to writing. Finding that your client is guilty is not a reason for which attorneys may recuse (?--I just got off the phone from an hour chatting with my Mom and I'm finding the Kenwood 2010 Sonoma Chardonnay to taste particularly good--she's 90, god bless her, but sometimes old themes in our relationship reprise themselves to the detriment of who we are today, but I digress) him or herself. Zimmerman's lawyers are resigning because their client will not cooperate with them and had told the prosecutor, Ms. Corey, that those guys do not represent him, but are legal advisors, sort of like the status of court-appointed attorneys to a pro se (representing him or herself) defendant. If all of this sounds nuts to you, it sounds nuts to Zimmerman's former attorneys because in their press conference (which I see as partially as a call for Zimmerman to come in from the cold (or the hot since Z may still be in the South), because the attorneys said that they thought that Zimmerman may have cracked from the shock of the shooting, the seclusion, the bounty on his head, and the media spectacular led by Rev. Al Sharpton, with whom I often agree generally but who has left a bad taste in my mouth after the Tawana Bradley circus. |

|
But she like drinking it once and awhile. My mother-in-law now was something else. When her huband died she seemed to go into her 2d childhood. She started hanging around the 50 yr old guys who loved to drink. She was in her mid 80s. Talk about cantankerous. Wow she gave us a run for our money that is for sure.. The trouble she managed to get herself in you wouldn't believe me if I told you. I laugh now but it wasn't funny at the time. I think her husband kept her in line. She finally died at the age of 89. I hate to say it but it was a relief.

|
80 something mother-in-law wanted to buy a bowl of soup but she was a little tipsy and she was driving on the wrong side of the road. They charged her with DWI at 9 pm at night. Wow the court room was packed with many cases that day. Then the judge calls her first because of her age. I went up with her. That damn judge asks me where was I all this time. I told him she is well over 85 and I was coming home from work and my husband had been at work. Can you see what his express was when I had to call him and ask him if he was sitting down. I told him he needed to bail his momma out of jail. I swear that last year she lived was such an experience. I would have never guess she was that way. It was funny after it was over. I happened to work for the local government at the time and they would kid me about it. I would tell them you wouldn't be laughing had it been your parent. But she really was a good person. After her husband died it was like she changed and wanted to do things she couldn't when her husband was alive.

It's just my opinion (based on experience and observation), that this is the kind of thing they would do. Stir shit up, generate controversy, red herring, LULZ... whatever. misspellings, atrocious grammar, etc. And, that would be the beauty of it/finishing touches of it... it has to appear convincing, but, that's only if one believes (or is certain), that Zimmerman is prone to "misspellings, atrocious grammar, etc". I believe that we are looking at a George Zimmerman original here.
It probably is his website... it might very well be his website, and if it is... he needs to find better attorneys/legal advice. If this has the blessings/advice of his legal team... he's fucked. |

52. I Left him a little comment

It's easy to put in fake info and hide your IP number. He said in his "The Facts" website that the facts will come out. I said everything that's come out of this case- LIE- Broken nose/head bashed (FACT- Security Camera footage shows no sign of wounds), LIE- it's him crying on the 911 call (FACT- Voice experts say it's not him), LIE- He's not a racist (FACT- He's used racist language in the 911 calls), etc, etc. I put that in my comments and then ended with, "I wonder what your lawyers were thinking." (In terms of him setting up this website)
I didn't think that he'd do something even stupider and this comes out. I hope he gets a lot of comments like mine (not threatening but state what's been reported in the news, especially with the 911 tapes/witness statements/security camera footage). I hope they outnumber his defender comments 1,000 to one. All of that said, it looks like a teabagger website as well. |
