Russia Is Massing Troops On Iran's Northern Border And Waiting For A Western Attack titleThis discussion thread was locked as off-topic by Ruby the Liberal (a host of the Latest Breaking News forum). The Russian military anticipates that an attack will occur on Iran by the summer and has developed an action plan to move Russian troops through neighboring Georgia to stage in Armenia, which borders on the Islamic republic, according to informed Russian sources. ... The Russian spearhead (from the Transcaucasia region) may be ordered to strike south to prevent the presumed deployment of U.S. bases in Transcaucasia, to link up with the troops in Armenia and take over the South Caucasus energy corridor along which Azeri, Turkmen and other Caspian natural gas and oil may reach European markets," Felgenhauer said. "By one swift military strike, Russia may ensure control of all the Caucasus and the Caspian states that were its former realm, establishing a fiat accompli the West, too preoccupied with Iran, would not reverse," he said. "At the same time, a small victorious war would unite the Russian nation behind the Kremlin, allowing it to crush the remnants of the prodemocracy movement 'for fair elections,' and as a final bonus, Russia's military action could perhaps finally destroy the Saakashvili regime." 15. Yes, those caucasians are an interesting bunch.
|
But yeah, it doesn't get much coverage, but I've seen a couple of those this Winter. Very murky stuff though. |

5. Sounds like a right wing wet dream report to me
|
If it comes to pass, it doesn't matter what the administration does, it would create an ideal election year attack vehicle for them. The not so hidden right wing message to the hawks in Israel is simple--"if you attack Iran this summer, we believe you'll also help us topple Obama (which is what the hard liners in Tel Aviv would like to see)... at least that is what this looks like to me.

6. If Obama publicly breaks with Israel, repudiates unlateral attack, RW doesn't win
|
Because Obama can point to all of them as the people that encouraged this travesty thru pushing America to support the invasion and in fact, want the US to do this. Obama only loses if he can't stop his mealey mouthed fear of making Repugs mad.
Let Israel fight the stupid ass unnecessary war on their own. No more uncle sugar. But, I know Obama is an appeaser, so doubt he'd do the right thing here. |

11. Ever heard of total, disgusting bigotry?
|
Because only an ignorant bigot would consider the Jews as being of one monolithic mind. And only an ignorant bigot would assume that only AIPAC speaks for the Jews. And only an ignorant bigot would consider support for Israel's existence to be worse than support for any other democratic nation.
And NO typical NYC lib that I know is an ignorant bigot. |

|
Last edited Mon Apr 9, 2012, 08:04 PM USA/ET - Edit history (1) Say goodbye to the Jewish vote and more importantly Florida if you do that.
And for the record, I'm not saying the Jews are some monothlitic group that follow the whims of AIPAC. Israel is important to many jews, myself included. Publicly splitting from Israel would be a complete reversal of 60 years of foreign policy and a betryal of promises Obama made and is making during his campaign. |

9. This makes a whole lot more sense than an attack from Israel.
|
But I'm still against it. I oppose any move that will unite the people of Iran around current leadership.

This is a repackaged story from Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin site (the companion conspiracy site to his main conspiracy site, World Net Daily).
You could try the Creative Speculation group with this one, but check with the hosts on the source (BI just repackaged it). |
