Source: Farmingdale Patch

The woman found decapitated in Farmingdale Tuesday was a popular longtime language arts professor at Farmingdale State College.

“Patricia Ward was a member of the campus for 28 years. She was well-known, well-liked, and well-respected,” Patrick Calabria, vice president of institutional advancement at Farmingdale State, told Patch. “The campus is a very sad place today.”

about how she spent the past 30 years trying to get help out of the mental health system for her very ill son. And no, I'm not being snarky. It's a sadly common story.

People like her son need help not ridicule. It may be hard to get them to accept treatment but we as a nation should have the resources easily available for those who seek help.
