1 student injured after shooting at Fern Creek High School

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Multiple Jefferson County Sheriffs' Deputies and Louisville Metro Police officers are on the scene after a reported shooting at Fern Creek High School.

MetroSafe dispatchers confirmed the report just after 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Police are inside the building and students are being removed from the school.

JCPS confirmed one student was injured and is at University Hospital. LMPD has reached parents of the injured student. If you've not heard from police, your child is not injured.

And I hope they catch the shooter, who one would expect would not be too hard if it's a student at that school.

point fingers at them. We had Lake Dreamland and Valley Station for that.

Glad the kid is going to live. He will be a minor celebrity until everyone gets their chance to see the scar.

but me, being an East End snob (J-town, Middletown)


My nephew goes to FCHS...normally on that floor but has one class on the 1st floor so he was far away from that.

The shooter apparently lived very nearby so they just staked the place out and caught him pretty easily.

charge $5000 a bullet. That, while he said it jokingly, would stop a lot of these idiots. One of our local high schools shut down this morning due to someone saying they were getting ready to attack the school. This shit has to stop - I guess when humans are gone.
