Officer Darren Wilson Suffered “Orbital Blowout Fracture to Eye Socket” During Mike Brown Attack
This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by bluesbassman (a host of the Latest Breaking News forum).
Source: The Gateway Pundit
The Gateway Pundit can now confirm from two local St. Louis sources that police Officer Darren Wilson suffered facial fractures during his confrontation with deceased 18 year-old Michael Brown. This was after Michael Brown and his accomplice Dorian Johnson robbed a local Ferguson convenience store. Local St. Louis sources said Wilson suffered an orbital blowout fracture to the eye socket. This comes from a source within the District Attorneys office and confirmed by the St. Louis County Police.

(6,943 posts)This is not a brand-new question, believe it or not. I've heard both the MO A.G. and the head of the MO Bar Association asked this very question by KMOX-AM 1120, and both have categorically stated that it's a power not granted to the Governor. I'll take their word for it, at this point.

(38,613 posts)We'll definitely need more than "a source within the District Attorneys office", especially since there should be a report, and a hospital visit.
Wilson, not once, puts his hand up to his eye to indicate that it's injured.

(45,806 posts)Please try to listen to Mike Papantonio's interview on MSNBC yesterday. He was on either Ed Schultz' show orr the one right before Ed. Mike made the ONLY valid (as I see it) reason that Wilson is not in jail already.I cant quote, but he said "Please people, you need to give the Fed prosecutors some time to put together a good case BEFORE an arrest is made BECAUSE as soon as an arrest is made, the "Speedy trial" law starts to run, and that give the prosecution only 60 days to file their case. Without the "speedy trial" law, they have 120 days. It's imperative that they get as many FACTS as possible to assure a win in court."
That's the first really GOOD explaination I've heard from anyone for the postponement. Mike is a very experienced attorney and a good one.

(18,124 posts)seems pretty right wing in it's reporting BS and the type of racist and ignorant comments in that section of this 'source'. I know of no local witnesses confirming officer wilson's story and I would have liked to have seen wilson immediately after his MURDER of Michael Brown to confirm this eye bone fracture story. I didn't hear about anything matching a similar type of injury on Brown's corpse during the autopsy reports yesterday.
This seems simple enough to check out but I wouldn't expect the media to follow up given the lackluster job they've displayed so far.

Police sources tell me more than a dozen witnesses have corroborated cop's version of events in shooting #Ferguson
http://www.washingtonpost.com/national/justice-department-orders-new-autopsy-of-michael-browns-body/2014/08/18/023a4d12-2694-11e4-958c-268a320a60ce_story.html?hpid=z1
authorities said Holder would arrive in Ferguson on Wednesday and meet with some of the FBI agents and prosecutors investigating the case. They have interviewed more than 200 people, scouring the area where Brown was shot by Darren Wilson, an officer with Fergusons police department.
I wonder how many have corroborated the other witnesses version of events, who do not agree with the officer ...
Would have been a good question for the reporter to have asked

Oh wait, what police report?
If the truth is ever stated in the police report, if there ever is a police report, it will be all but irreverent.
The truth that was sold (and gratefully bought) will already be urban legend.

(28,940 posts)Why was this 'critical' information released to a rightwing blog instead of a MSM like the St Louis Post Dispatch or CNN?
Where are the medical report, pictures, x-rays? If the "confrontation" is going to be used in court as a justification for the shooting, one would presume those would be available.
Where is Wilson? Because if he took a shot to the head severe enough to justify lethal force, the effect should still be visible.
