GOP Senate Candidate Likens Food Stamp Recipients To Wild Animals

Source: The Huffington Post

A Republican Senate candidate equated food stamp recipients to wild animals in a Facebook post Monday.

The candidate, Dr. Annette Bosworth, is running in the Republican primary to succeed Sen. Tim Johnson (D-S.D.), who is retiring. Bosworth shared a viral image on her personal Facebook page criticizing the food stamp program for inviting dependency.

“The food stamp program is administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture," the graphic reads. "They proudly report that they distribute free meals and food stamps to over 46 million people on an annual basis."

“Meanwhile, the National Park Service, run by the U.S. Department of the Interior, asks us ‘please do not feed the animals.’ Their stated reason for this policy being that … the animals will grow dependent on the handouts, and then they will never learn to take care of themselves,” the post continues. “This concludes today’s lesson. Any questions?”

It is clear that the underlying her seeking office is an hatred of government. Apparently, a government agency sought to revoke her license to practice medicine. (http://www.keloland.com/newsdetail.cfm/sioux-falls-doctor-keeps-medical-license/?id=140533)

And then she got into/is in another fight with regulators, http://ireport.cnn.com/docs/DOC-968415

Seems more and more, we are finding candidates that seek office to destroy government.

Because for the bears, you see, we bought and set aside their entire neighborhood, made sure they don't have to get jobs, and can spend all day long outdoors browsing for fresh produce and fish. We also put policies and regulations in place so their food can remain plentiful and free, such as those for clean water, protecting the habitat of animals and plants they might feed on.

So, if we buy those families a house, make sure their needs for safety are met, make sure there is enough free food laying around and that they can just go out all day in the sunshine to hunt and gather, and some provision is made so they can continue to get food in the winter (because, unlike bears, they don't store it in their fat cells all winter long. But then you know that, 'cause u a doctor, right?), then yeah, I could see where we wouldn't need food stamps.

Until then...

On edit - Oh yeah - we got rid of one of their natural predators, the wolf. So we would probably have to get rid of some bankers, just to make it kind like the same, yes?

We also won't need houses, kitchens, toilets, doorbells, telephones, TVs and cars since wild animals don't have any of those.

Clothing will be unnecessary as well.

She also makes it seem like they all have a choice. My disabled brother gets food stamps (barely). He started out with $87.00 a month in FS, now it is reduced to $57.00. He gets about $700 in SS disability payments. This is the total amount he has to live on (plus help from me and our 77 year old mom. Does this Bitch really think that were he not 100% disabled, he would want to "live high on the hog" with these overly generous payments? This is hardly subsistence money!

Campaign themes
2014
Bosworth lists her ten point pledge on her campaign website. Here's an overview of her ten points.[1]
"Repeal Obamacare and replace it with a patient-centric, market based healthcare system that we can afford."
"Stop out of control spending: cut, cap, and balance the federal budget."
"Fight the intrusiveness of the federal government in all aspects of our lives."
"Eliminate our current tax system and replace it with a FairTax."
"Secure the Border. No Amnesty for Illegal Immigrants."
"Protect and defend all Life and traditional marriage."
"Fulfill our Constitutional responsibility to defend America."
"Eliminate unnecessary and overly burdensome federal regulations to boost our economy and make America more competitive."
"Protect our Constitutional right to bear arms."
"Enact term limit legislation to go along with my personal pledge to serve only two terms."
Controversy
Raffle
Bosworth came under fire after a raffle to raise money for military families to take a fishing trip in Alaska. The raffle was run through Bosworth's non-profit, Preventive Health Strategies. PHS was raffling off 80 acres of farm land in South Dakota. However, the raffle never took place and two people that purchased tickets for $1,000 each never saw their money. In February 2013, PHS sent the raffle ticket buyers a letter explaining the Defense Department changed the rules and they could not use the money as planned. They offered a refund. One man, Nate Fluit, did not ask for a refund because he thought the money would still help troops. The raffle deadline was July 15, 2013, but the raffle did not sell the 500 tickets they aimed to. The raffle never took place and Fluit called for his refund. Fluit was told he would receive his refund in the mail, but the check never came. The raffle is still being advertised by Bosworth on her Meaningful Medicine website, but the partner in the raffle, F.I.R.E. Missions, said they have cut ties with Bosworth.[2]
Bosworth's campaign manager, Nate Johnson, released a statement in November 2013. He said, "The issues related to Preventive Health Strategies are issues for the non-profit, and not the Bosworth for Senate campaign."[3]

Go check out some of her antics on Madville Times blog. The husband of the Dr. doesn't work. Doesn't hold any real job, just trying to make fast bucks quick. -- through donations or heaven knows what. Both involved in now having to pay back raffle ticket purchasers the $1000 per ticket for a land raffle never held. Former employees not fully paid. The petitions for run for Senate that she and hubby signed, claiming they witnessed signatures on petition signed have dates from when she and husband were out of country on a mission trip.

This Dr. Puts up daily video devotionals. There is a real whacko video of her waving her gun around regarding gun rights. She and husband and kids live in an apt. provided to her through charity of friends and church -- and her financial strife is all "due to the horrible govt.", of course. Always a victim because she dares to speak her loose version of what she believes is the truth.

The husband is definitely a grifter / con artist and she is caught up on all the attention and press she is getting. Folks from out of state are sending her checks because of her God, guns, no big Government crapola. It is sad and scary.

Annette Bosworth is running for Senate in South Dakota. Republican, of course.

If you could bottle the mean juice in her veins, you could market it as sexually stimulant for grisly bears and fire ants.

On her Facebook page:

So, according to Ms. Bosworth, little children should starve until they are old enough to get a newspaper route.

I have a grandbaby. When he stays at my house, he is totally dependent on me for food because he’s going through a hard time. It’s called infancy. We’re pretty sure he’ll outgrow it despite the fact that we fed him anyway.

Yes, Dr. Bosworth ... I have a question. On your website you indicate that you are a person of faith; in fact, you state that God has called you for a higher purpose. Here you suggest that providing food-stamps and distributing free meals to the human runs counter to the USDI's policy regarding feeding animal in the wild. As a person of faith, how do you square this comparison with Matthew 25:35, which speaks directly to feeding the poor?

HIPPOCRATIC OATH: MODERN VERSION

I will respect the privacy of my patients, for their problems are not disclosed to me that the world may know. Most especially must I tread with care in matters of life and death. If it is given me to save a life, all thanks. But it may also be within my power to take a life; this awesome responsibility must be faced with great humbleness and awareness of my own frailty. Above all, I must not play at God.

I will remember that I do not treat a fever chart, a cancerous growth, but a sick human being, whose illness may affect the person's family and economic stability. My responsibility includes these related problems, if I am to care adequately for the sick.
I will prevent disease whenever I can, for prevention is preferable to cure.

I will remember that I remain a member of society, with special obligations to all my fellow human beings, those sound of mind and body as well as the infirm.
