Woman Derails GOP Town Hall Going Off on Why Obama Needs to Be Executed

Source: Mediaite

A recent Republican town hall got thrown a little off-course with something rather outlandish proposed by a member of the crowd; this time a woman who used her opportunity to talk at Congressman Jim Bridenstine‘s town hall about why President Obama “should be executed as an enemy combatant.”

The woman called Obama “moron” and a “criminal” who is acting wholly without authority and “nobody’s doing anything” to reign him in. There was some awkward laughter as she brought up the execution of the president, and Bridenstine brushed past it to keep going after Obama on his lawlessness in bypassing Congress.

Notice in the video at the link that Bridenstine, a first-term teabagger from Oklahoma, does not condemn her remarks or take issue with them in the slightest, but simply moves along by feeding her more paranoia about takin' yer guns away and UN takeovers.

Expect Boehner, Cantor and the Republicans to denounce his response a week from never

3. from the look of the looneys around the room, their kind is gonna die off from brain starvation

I'm actually surprised some of those folks can actually feed or clothe themselves, with such ignorance. They keep belching back up everything FoxNews feeds them. As their numbers dribble away, so too will their ability to thwart national elections and reasonable thinking in government. I think the tide has already turned for them, but it is sad to see the displays of stooopid so pronounced and in such vivid color. These attitudes belong back in the black and white days of yesteryear, where they should be quarantined for good.

Sometimes I think their orgasmic hatred of Obama is the only rise these folks ever get and they have become addicted to the adrenaline rush of anger they get when they are poked incessantly by the lies at FoxNews. Not only is FoxNews f*cking over their brains, they are sharing a cigarette with them afterwards.

41. your right but

Its not just fox news. You will notice that the editorial pages in virtually every newspaper is mostly tea party style offerings. There are radical right wing radio talkers on every station along with the nationally syndicated whack jobs. The assault on America is non stop. 24/7.
I know people who wholly buy it. One person I have known all my life is holding his daughter out of school. The entire family endorses this because they are now 'anti-public education !
All of them , publicly educated themselves. Its an upside down world when perfectly healthy people actually believe these that Bengazi is a scandal.
Hell right now, a couple tea party congressman actually have filed impeachment charges against the president. They want to impeach him so bad , they cant get a reason so they said what the hell just file the charges and our people will be happy. Their people are the KOCHS.

5. The Secret Service needs to pay the Congressman a visit

The guy stood there as a member of the House of Representatives, listened to someone publicly cry for the killing of the President, and he stood there offering no indication whatsoever that he disagreed with her suggestion.

Bonehead and Can't-or will tell him in private to get his act together--in public. They probably have no problem with his utterances when the cameras and the microphones are off.

6. Well, this is the GOP's problem in a nutshell: their electoral strategy depends on the whackjob vote

and they need to feed red meat to the whackjobs to keep them voting GOP, so they throw the whackjobs red meat

Thus yesterday's whackjobs became today's GOP

And today's GOP now scoops even deeper in the bucket of whackjobs, looking for supporters -- and scooping out even wackier whackjobs

That big sucking sound you hear? It's the last vestiges of sanity fleeing from the GOP

Look at the rise of organized crime right after prohibition was repealed.

16. Slightly inaccurate headline by Mediaite - the meeting wasn't 'derailed' at all

It was accepted as another, 'valid', point of view, and the serving congressman used it to say that 'everyone' knew Obama was 'lawless', and to introduce his own nutjob United Nations conspiracy theory. I don't think the laughter was 'awkward'; more like "well, someone's said what a lot of us think". Worryingly, he is on the Committee on Armed Services and Committee on Science, Space and Technology. This idiot has influence over the US armed forces. And he's a bald-faced liar:

Bridenstine stated that the remarks of others should not be attributed to him.

"A public figure cannot control what people say in open meetings. I obviously did not condone and I do not approve of grossly inappropriate language," Bridenstine said in a statement. "It is outrageous that irresponsible parties would attribute another person's reckless remarks to me."

http://www.ktul.com/story/24647001/bridenstines-supporters-call-for-impeachment-of-potus

He did condone it - he accepted it, never contradicted it, never said "well, I wouldn't go that far". He built on it. He didn't call it 'reckless' or 'grossly inappropriate'.

his idiot supporters for saying such things. Even Christie Soprano slapped back when people tried to smear an appointee just because he was a Muslim. Oh, and McCain called Bachmann's attacks on Weiner's wife for being Muslim "shameful."

Even among Republicans there are still a few who recoil at such things--but unfortunately not enough to leave the dark side in other respects.

Since the other mainstream news sources fail to take on the likes of these it just continues to worsen. Yes, here I am talking about CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN and the Washington Post with Jonathan Karl and David Gregory leading the pack in that group.

35. It's not that there is political opposition to the party in office

it's that the political opposition cannot seem to use facts and figures
within the political system to analyze and promote the changes they
want

Theirs is an almost delusional paranoia about methods and mindset

House and Senate Democrats ran a courteous if very cool and
focused opposition when Republicans held the majority under
George W. Bush

Yes there were fringe ideas on the left

But no major media outlet fed their delusions on a daily basis

and stoked the flames into blind hatred

Reality never interrupts the stream of consciousness of these folks

40. I'm reminded of that "crazy woman" at the McCain rally back in '08

However, those misguided remarks about being an "Arab" were tame in comparison, and McCain to his credit actually interrupted her to set the record straight. The big difference between now and then is that the unhinged rhetoric is no longer being challenged by the elected representatives who are present, lest they be perceived as being "soft on Obama". This is particularly dangerous because the implied unspoken message is that all the hate-filled accusations must be factual, because they are not being challenged by a "responsible" member of Congress, who had just thrown them handfuls of red meat with claims of "lawlessness" and "imperial rule".

isn't it enough that we have become an embarassment due to the crazy things Inhofe says? Unfortunately Bridenstine is also my Rep & yes, he is an asshole!!

This crazy woman also said that Obama was flying muslims into the country. When I heard that, I thought....oh yeah? Where are these muslims coming into the country? Maybe Tulsa Intl Airport? I haven't seen a mass exodus of muslims coming into the country. And even if there were a lot of muslims, that doesn't prove that Obama was personally escorting them here or that these people are a threat to anyone since not all muslims are radical!

Yesterday on Rev Al's show he read a statement from Bridenstine's staff that said something like....of course Bridenstine does not agree with the woman. But that was not clear since right after the woman's statement (in the video) he said something like....everyone knows Obama has become lawless.

uh...no!! Everyone doesn't know that!! Plus, that statement makes it sound like he did agree with her!

I will be working to make sure Bridenstine does not get a second term!!!

56. Bridenstine didn't condemn her remarks......

because he probably wrote them for her and paid her to say them.

63. Well

he did let Bush and Cheney off the hook for war crimes, and his targeted drone murder program is in no way legal under international law. Still, execution seems a bit extreme.

And before anyone jumps down my throat for saying that, please realize that I voted for Obama twice, as the lesser of 2 evils each time. But when I saw the man lie to American people about NSA's domestic spying programs on national television, I lost what little respect I had left for our Puppet in Chief.

71. If I'd been running the meeting, I would have called the cops.

Seriously. I've only had experience helping to run a local civic association that has had a pretty good record of making things happen without any actual government power in our city. ….but if she'd popped off like that during one of our meetings we'd have had the cops join us immediately. Isn't her action a kind of sedition?
…Not saying I would have asked the police to do anything….just take a seat in the back of the meeting room.
