The Susan B. Anthony List, a national organization that opposes abortion, is pledging at least $1.5 million to the Republican gubernatorial campaign of Ken Cuccinelli in Virginia.
The organization will announce the commitment Thursday.
The group's president, Marjorie Dannenfelser, tells The Associated Press that the choice of the conservative Virginia attorney general with a vivid record of anti-abortion action was an easy call. She calls it "hands-down the most important election in the country right now."
Cuccinelli last year forced the State Board of Health to back away from exempting existing Virginia abortion clinics from a new state law that holds clinics to the same architectural standards as new hospitals.
1. Well I think it is time to think about getting rid of Cuccinelli, the woman hater in VA.
He is part of the radical right wing of repug party that would deny voters their basic rights of citizenship and deny women their right to their privacy and respect as equal citizens of the US.
Pope Benedict is on his way out. He was a man who declared war from his mighty throne at the VATICAN on women religious in the US. These arrogant tyrants whether lay or clergy have to be removed from positions of power, because they use their power to do harm especially to women.
