3. Why is "Devoutly" (any religion) considered some sort of sign of goodness?

Doesn't matter how hard you pray or how often. You can still be a scumbag.

11. Seeking advice from a psychic? Not so "devout" after-all

As if having 3 prominent sisters convicted of corruption wasn’t strange enough, the most recent case brought some bizarre revelations. From The Associated Press:

“During the investigation, which centered on the sisters’ emails, prosecutors stumbled onto messages Sen. Orie and Melvin sent to the “angel lady,” a Philadelphia psychic who read her client’s written questions aloud before claiming to receive a whispered answer from an angel.

“The senator and justice sought assurances from the $85-an-hour medium that Zappala’s investigation wouldn’t result in criminal charges.”

The 3 sisters convicted say they were unfairly prosecuted by Allegheny County District Attorney Stephen Zappala Jr., who they say has a politically vendetta against them.

I agree, anymore, prominence in religion would seem to be as much an indicator of criminal activities as it would be of any supposed goodness.

I wonder if the psychic is the one who told them that Zappala has some sort of vendetta against them. Maybe they were enemies in a previous life.

I never heard of them before (and I am a PA resident). They must have hung out with someone we know (no offense to our Wiccan DUers) -

Bizarre.

Edited to add: Not that I'd hear that much news about Pittsburgh in our region. It's a big state. (Commonwealth)

12. Never use taxpayer paid staff for campaigns. Be rich first.

Or sell out to higher bidders.

That way you can have people to drive you around to campaign events.

15. Hey, hey there...................

Pennsylvania is a Middle Atlantic State. Philadelphia is on the east coast. I would rather be misidentified as being from the northeast, than the midwest.

It's a geography thing. People either were not taught geographsy, or they have completely forgot anything they learned.

21. While I have as many disagreements with the Catholic Church as most(some Catholics have more)

I'm not sure that these sisters' religious affiliation had anything to do with their corruption.

We've had plenty of corrupt Protestant politicians, and politicians of other faiths or none, as well.

The Holy See didn't invent graft.
