Chavez undergoing "delicate" cancer treatment: Venezuela's vice president

Source: Reuters

(Reuters) - Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez is undergoing "complex" alternative treatments more than two months after having cancer surgery in Cuba, his vice president said on Wednesday.

I wish Chavez well, but I'm glad he's nominated his successor and made plans for an orderly transition to a new leader, because this isn't looking good. The right-wing will try to exploit any power vacuum, but hopefully, if Chavez doesn't recover, at least the transition will be smooth.

1. Chavez should resign.

He's obviously not going to recover. He should quit and let the next guy take over in an orderly way.
