Rand Paul To Deliver Tea party Response To SOTU
Source: TPM
DAVID TAINTOR 3:22 PM EST, FRIDAY FEBRUARY 8, 2013
Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) will deliver the tea party response to President Obama's State of the Union next week, the Tea Party Express announced Friday.
We are happy to see that the Republicans have selected Tea Party conservative Senator Marco Rubio to deliver their response. Both Senator Rubio and Senator Paul will articulate pro-growth messages that will resonate with the American people Tea Party Express chair Amy Kremer said in a statement.

(70,449 posts).... they sold those tea party regulars the idiotic idea that they had to rise up
and "take back their America" after Obama won in 2008 and now they are having
trouble controlling their offspring.
If the republicans keep up their war on women and immigrants along w/ closing
down post office operations they are cooking their own goose.

No. I know just enough Spanish to pick out about every fifth word.
That would be different how, to English Tepublican babble?

It's all in the messaging you see.
Yup. That will fix it.

He won't make "bean" or "siesta" (darn, another Spanish word he knows!) jokes while he's showing them the door, either!
He's such a loser!

(16,982 posts)I don't know the justification for it, assuming there is one, but one year Michele Bachmann (R-MN) gave the tea party response.
I think part of the reason this has lasted more than a yea ris that the media made so much of the tea party early on.

(1,770 posts)are the rethugs allowed to have TWO f**king responses? What is going on? There is NO Tea Party. The so-called Teabag senators or Reps are listed as R not T or I. This is Bullshit.

Does that mean that VP Biden gets to respond to Rand Paul? Where does it all end. Will anyone besides Fox carry Paul's response? It certainly looks redundant.
