Fox News' Chris Wallace Explodes At NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre: 'That's Ridiculous, Sir, And You Know It' Brett LoGiurato|33 minutes ago Fox News host Chris Wallace and NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre got into a heated exchange on "Fox News Sunday" this morning, as Wallace challenged LaPierre on a controversial ad involving President Barack Obama's daughters. Wallace played the clip of the ad, which called Obama an "elitist hypocrite" for sending his children to a school with armed protection while opposing it for other schools. (That ad has actually been proven false.) Wallace asked LaPierre if he regretted putting up the ad. He avoided the question and said the point of the ad was "not to pick on the President's kids." Here's the most contentious exchange: Read more: http://www.businessinsider.com/nras-wayne-lapierre-fox-news-sunday-chris-wallace-2013-2#ixzz2Jr0AZCpn

1. Good for Wallace

for calling out that asshat. Chris Wallace is one of the very few bright spots at Faux Snooze.
I wish he would leave and go to a real network. |

Yes, it was best that it was on that channel.
And even more demonstrating what a hypocrit LaPierre is. He's even suggests the 'elites in the capitol shouldn't get more protection than anyone else'...oh like it isn't probably the biggest target of a terrorist organization in the world?!?!?!?!?!?! his public relations staff should be fired for incompetence...but obviously they can't control him because he is completely off the rails |

19. Someone should challenge LaPierre on what protection he receives.
|
From WP
Wayne LaPierre, the National Rifle Association’s chief executive, arrived for his hearing on Capitol Hill in the organization’s trademark fashion: violently.
When he and his colleagues stepped off the elevator in the Dirksen Senate Office Building on Wednesday morning and found TV cameras waiting in the hallway, LaPierre’s bodyguards swung into action. One of them, in blatant violation of congressional rules, bumped and body-checked journalists out of the way so they couldn’t film LaPierre or question him as he walked. “You don’t have jurisdiction here!” a cameraman protested as an NRA goon pushed him against a wall. After the melee, congressional officials informed the NRA officials that, in the halls of Congress, they had to follow congressional procedures — which prohibit manhandling. |

26. The ad was referring to security guards at the school.
|
Implying that the school had a veritable army of armed guards. It does have a security staff, but it is unarmed.

StepnKretchit, you are spot on! I monitor many of the gun nut sites and they are turning on LaPierre too.
But the gun nuts aren't turning on him for that attack ad on President Obama's daughters........ they LOVE that shtuff. They are attacking LaPierre for his support of 100% background checks for gun purchases that Wayne made on May 28, 1999. It seems LaPierre was semi-sane at one time. Though he has now flip-flopped on that position, the nutters are NOT GOING TO FORGIVE OR FORGET! |

Last edited Sun Feb 3, 2013, 02:12 PM USA/ET - Edit history (2) All day long, Faux Snooze calls the President the same and brings on guest after guest after guest, who similarly rant and rave like the foaming-at-the-mouth lunatics that they are, with similar mock outrage.
I know that Wallace tends to jar himself back to the center every once in awhile to occasionally try to make Faux live up to their "Fair and Balanced Bullshit" meme, but why would he even bother anymore? Edit to add that it's ironic that Wallace mentions that HIS kids had gone to the same school (Sidwell) "years ago" that the Obama daughters attend and so this thing about "elite" was a personal affront to HIM. Them bullshit talking points weren't gonna fly this time. |

What a lame argument to assert that there is no aristocracy in America. Both LaPierre and Wallace are idiots and elites. They are too far removed from the lives of real Americans to have a clue. |

.... seeing Wallace on the right side of an issue. Wifey turned on the TV while cooking bfast and that turned up. Neither of us could quite believe it. But of course the next segment was a panel of shitheads talking about how the Hagel confirmation hearings were the worst ever. They must have missed Roberts's or any number of other wingnuts who refuse to answer any questions much more deftly than Hagel.
