Parents and students arrested after street brawls near Pittsburgh
Swissvale police are increasing patrols near a school bus stop where two major brawls happened earlier this week, and they say they've been told to expect more violence, CBS Pittsburgh reports..
Cell phone videos shot by students show a crowd of as many as 60 students and parents fighting in the streets of Swissvale, less than 10 miles east of Pittsburgh, on both Monday and Tuesday. Police are still rounding up suspects.
"We've identified right now about 15 people, adults and students, parents of some of the students, and everybody that's been identified by us will be arrested," Police Chief Greg Geppert told the station.
Police say they have already arrested five adults and minors, and are looking for close to a dozen more. The students and parents were reportedly from the Woodland Hills School district. Police from four departments made their presence known at the bus stop where the last brawl took place.

3. I couldn't find any hard news info, but...
...reader comments seem to indicate that it has something to do with rival neighborhoods (not specific gangs) that may have been exacerbated by merging some school districts and putting them together in one school.
That's just RumInt from blog comments.

4. How sad if people can't even attend the sames schools. You can bet the local government
probably had a hand in doing this that has caused the upheaval. Maybe both communities are fighting for their kids betterment. Really sad if we can't solve these problems our country is really screwed up.

2. Parents and kids
This is sickening. It could have been worse, there could have been a gun involved. Doesn't change the fact that so many people took part in an act of violence at a school bus stop. This is where kids are picked up to go to school. School being the place to learn, expand young minds and understand why treating others with even basic human dignity does not involve violence. Kids can be taught and learn from their mistakes. The adults involved in this should seek out some form of mental help.
