2. The guy is ridiculous

I don't know much about RGIII, but saw him play the other day. He's a great QB, but was hurt pretty bad. Maybe someone should find the video made by that girl about Micheal Jackson where she screams "just leave him alone" and tweet it to this guy.

Here's a better link with the full clip and response after Parker's comment:

4. Here is my take, don't flame me

I believe that to everything there is politics. After watching this, I feel that Parker's statements are more racially political than directly racial, which is kind of a fact because of his affiliation with a political party that is very well known to go against his own interests.

9. That video was called "LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE", not about Michael Jackson.

3. He was doing a terrible job to begin with.

So I'm not too surprised that he would go off and say something ridiculously stupid like that.

6. More on the context

Evidently he said something about not wanting to be identified primarily as an AA.

Nevertheless it was a brainless way to express his concern.

10. If Parker was more direct......

He would've used the"Uncle Tom" reference instead of the subtle "cornball"

11. Really now?

What in the world does a grown man fawning over an ADULT woman have to do with this? In fact most people reading this thread will probably have no idea what you are referring to, so my response will be limited.

Please send me the hand-book as to what the rules are for being attracted to state beauty pageant queens, so I know when to stop.

16. Not at all the same

Yes, maybe Musberger spent a little too long talking about Miss Alabama. But 'that's a fine looking woman right there,' isn't at all the same as a racial insult.

19. He's good at what he does.

They have to find someone who can call the game with ease like Brent Mussberger can. He really didn't go on and on about AJ's girlfriend, I was watching live but usually turn down the volume of the announcers and listen to Eli Gold during Bama games. Then I rewatch the game on DVR and listen to the commentary. I didn't see anything creepy about it. She's pretty, he has eyes. Had he said I want to have great grand kids with that girl, yes too far... My pick to replace him would be Gary Danielson, but CBS is a pretty sweet job. I do think that in the next few years we will see David Pollack take an even bigger role at ESPN, not play by play but he is better than Desmond Howard on GameDay.

Sorry to ramble.

12. Fired for telling the truth

Or what most black people say behind closed doors. RGIII is an Uncle Tom...maybe not on the same level as Clarence Thomas, but he definitely is. Go to a black barbershop and they'll say the same thing.

18. It's not fact or truth. It's opinion

Opinions vary on the subject of Griffin's racial identity. I'm sure they'd tell you that at a barbershop as well. But a barbershop isn't a broadcast network. It's fine to opine about players and their lives when something happens, but to bring it up and criticize him over it for no reason? That's just bad sports journalism.

20. That whole show is terrible.

Anything associated with Skip Bayless lacks any chance of credibility. It is just a compilation of has-beens and never were's.

21. I agree

He shouldn't have said that on the air and he's been punished for it. But people are acting like it's some big shock or surprise that he said such a thing. I'm just saying that he just said on air what a lot of black people say behind closed doors. And IMO, I also believe it to be true.
