Bright House Networks drops Current TV
Source: Orlando Sentinel
The low-rated Current TV is off Bright House Networks after the announcement that the channel was being sold to Al Jazeera.
“Our agreement with Current TV has been terminated and we will no longer be carrying the service,” Bright House spokesman Donald Forbes said Friday.
He added that the service ended Wednesday and that Bright House has not yet replaced Current TV on Channel 156.
Time Warner Cable, Bright House’s business partner, also dropped Al Jazeera on Wednesday and cited the ownership change. Former Vice President Al Gore had been among the owners of Current TV. Forbes reports that Gore could make $100 million before taxes on the deal, which has Al Jazeera reportedly paying $500 million for Current TV.

3. Islamophobia "Uber Alles!"
This is stupid! Americans need to learn a great deal more about Muslims and their cultures, not less. How long will this kind of senseless bias continue. It is too sad, just too sad.
I watch <aljazeera.com> on my computer every day. Why shouldn't I be able to see it on my television as well.

4. Short (sardonic) answer:
Because they haven't figured out a way to prevent you from watching it on your computer also.
