Rick Snyder to give guns in schools bill extra scrutiny

Source: Washington Post

The massacre in Newton, Conn. has prompted Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder (R) to consider vetoing legislation allowing concealed weapons in schools.

“We’re looking at the whole situation due to Connecticut, not just the fact that there’s a bill out there,” the governor told the Associated Press. “What that legislation says will be looked at through the lens of all that’s happened.”

He said it’s possible he could veto the legislation. “The shooting gives you clear cause to say, would this be appropriate?”

Where was the scrutiny for the RTW legislation? And the abortion legislation? I don't know what he's read and hasn't read? At least he is hesitant about something.

Besides, his moral compass seems to switch directions rather easily. As in when the political winds shift. So it is really more of a moral wet finger.

And besides, all he is doing is delaying, hoping that the scrutiny disappears, so he can sign the bill as it currently is written.

because he's probably received a gazillion emails and letters this weekend telling him he's toast if he signs it.

He has no moral compass. He's a 1%er who only cares about his millions.

Let's hope Michael Moore has given him a piece of his mind already. I did.

Christmas Eve or not. Whether he signs it then or another time, he's in for shitstorm (I hope) when he does.

How that prick lives with himself I have no idea.

Whatever the cost, cheaper than preparing and reacting to shooting at school. Even if just "shooting," no fatality.

Yes, an armed guard at Newtown may have been gunned down, but at least it would have sound the alarm.

this morning that calls are running 5:1 in favor of him vetoing this piece of shit legislation. I'll be interested to hear what lie he will use to justify signing it. He certainly had no problem lying like a rug when trying to justify signing that heinous RTW bill last week, claiming that Indiana had attracted beaucoup jobs to the state when, in truth, there have been NONE. Zilch. Zip. Nada. Zero.

Snyder is the biggest, most dangerous POS politician in Michigan state history.

He's a wolf in sheep's clothing. Tried to pass himself off as a moderate and got many Dems to vote for him (not me, thank God). Then as soon as he was ensconced in the Governor's mansion he went to work doing the RW'ers bidding.
