A 30-day public-comment period officially began today. It will close Jan. 11 at 5 p.m.
The state Department of Environmental Conservation late last month issued a new set of proposals for regulating shale-gas drilling, a legal maneuver that bought the agency another 90 days to finalize their rules. The state now faces a late February deadline for completing the regulations.
I also had a message today that indicates the NYS Attorney General has filed notice for a suit against the EPA. The link I was sent didn't work, and no one was in the office when I called Robert this afternoon. But I'll post more when I find out.
