Matt Drudge is taking advantage of the criticism directed at filmmaker Quentin Tarantino for the use of a racial epithet in his films to inappropriately splatter that epithet across his webpage seven times, in an apparent attempt to shock readers with racially charged rhetoric. Drudge has a history of featuring racially inflammatory language and images on his website.

(12,041 posts)Of course a film set around the issue of slavery is going to have that word in it, Tarantino's use of the word is in a very different context than Drudge's.

(6,908 posts)Drudge has not seen the film. I agree with freedom of speech, so his use of the word does not shock me, either, as he hopes it will. Of course, I never read his drivel anyway so I would never know what he spews unless I see it in another media outlet.
